'Off The Beaten Path' is a collection of sound photographs that capture the essence of places where time seems to have been forgotten, much like the organic simplicity of Polaroid snapshots. It combines travel narratives with the unique sounds of remote landscapes, while exploring the emotions experienced when stepping out of one's comfort zone.

Rafael Diogo AKA Deep Dive Sound is most passionate about capturing stories associated with objects and places, resulting in creations that are both immediate and profound. These creations connect us to the sensory aspects of place and time, evoking a subtle sense of nostalgia for things that may have slipped from our memories.

He has been fortunate to travel the world, seeking remote landscapes to capture unique field recordings. These recordings create a captivating tapestry that beautifully encapsulates ever-changing memories through sound. Throughout his work, you will notice a strong focus on ecology, shedding light on the vulnerabilities and challenges within nature. This coexists with a sense of wide-eyed wonder, conjuring personal soundscapes that often recount stories about places and moments on the cusp of fading from our memory.

Rafael Diogo, also known as Deep Dive Sound, is a Portuguese sound designer and ambient composer currently based in London. His soundscapes and ambient compositions have been featured in a wide range of media, including theater productions, animated short films, social and cultural documentaries, and full-length movies. More recently, his work has found a serene home in sound healing environments. His works have been featured by ambient labels such as Elan Vital Recordings, Drone Works International, Unexplained Sound Group, Sono Space, Green Field Recordings, MiMi Records, and Cities and Memory.
